DUBAI, April 2. /TASS/. More than 60 civilians have been killed since March 15 as a result of US strikes on Yemeni territory controlled by the Houthi rebel movement Ansar Allah, the rebel government’s Health Ministry reported.
"As a result of the US aggression against Yemen, at least 61 civilians were killed between March 15 and April 1. During the same period, 139 civilians were injured," the ministry said in a statement.
According to it, the number of civilians killed in Yemen since the escalation of the Middle East conflict in October 2023 has reached 250, with another 714 injured. However, the ministry did not disclose the Houthi losses.
On March 15, the US Army, on the orders of President Donald Trump, began large-scale airstrikes on Yemeni territory under the control of the Ansar Allah movement. According to the US Central Command, the operation is aimed at protecting American interests and ensuring freedom of navigation.
