LONDON, March 8. /TASS/. The UK Foreign Office will begin the procedure for approving the candidacy of ex-commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny as Ukraine's ambassador to London, a source in the UK Foreign Office told TASS.

"His Majesty, King Charles III, officially approves the appointments on the recommendation of the Foreign Secretary. We will now begin the formal approval process [of Zaluzhny's candidacy]," the source said, emphasizing that the United Kingdom continues to support Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that the country's President Vladimir Zelensky agreed on the candidacy of Zaluzhny for the post of Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK.
