MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Talking about the future of the Gaza Strip makes no sense as long as hostilities there continue, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said.
"Naturally, at this point it is impossible to talk about Gaza’s future without a ceasefire and the cessation of violence against civilians. However, we must think about what will happen after the war. The Palestinian problem must be resolved by means of implementing the two-state principle. It is necessary to ensure the legal representation of Palestinians in all their territories, including Eastern Jerusalem," he said during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with top diplomats from a number of Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries in Moscow.
The top Saudi diplomat called for an immediate ceasefire in the enclave. "Our message today is as follows: it is necessary to immediately stop the war [in Gaza], cease fire, release hostages and launch a serious, fair peace settlement process, which is based on United Nations resolutions," he stressed.
