VILNIUS, November 10. /TASS/. Estonia’s Military Intelligence Center has said that the Russian Armed Forces are beginning to gain the upper hand in Donbass, the Estonian Public Broadcasting company (ERR) reported on its website.
Intelligence officers pointed out that the Russian military was pressing ahead with their attacks in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, which, according to the website, leads one to believe that "the Russians have seized the initiative" in those areas.
The center emphasized that the mud season, which has already set in, is having a negative impact on the hostilities. The Estonian experts assume that it will be more difficult for heavy equipment and armored vehicles to move around in the next month or two, and that both sides "will be trying to improve their positions before the winter comes."
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that between November 4 and 10, Russian forces "improved their frontline positions in some parts" of the Kupyansk area and "took more favorable frontiers and positions" in the southern Donetsk area.
