"China can provide aid to Africa in places and at times when Western countries are unable or unwilling to do so," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stressed

BEIJING, April 10. /TASS/. Africa needs China's help in obtaining loans and building infrastructure, China is a better ally for Africa than Western countries, the country’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a briefing on Monday.

"Africa needs loans from China and its help in building infrastructure. China can provide aid to Africa in places and at times when Western countries are unable or unwilling to do so. China is the best ally for Africa," the diplomat said.

Wang Wenbin also drew attention to recent statements by Nigeria's leadership that Western politicians' theses about the so-called Chinese debt trap were greatly exaggerated. According to him, "African countries do not complain or regret their close ties with China.".
