China highly praises Lavrov's words on unprecedented Moscow-Beijing relations — diplomat

BEIJING, February 16. /TASS/. Beijing highly appreciates Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's words on the unprecedented level of trust between Russia and China, the country’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a briefing on Thursday.

"China highly praises [Russian] Foreign Minister Lavrov's positive comments on China-Russia relations," Wang Wenbin said.

According to him, China-Russia relations continue to develop steadily and healthily, political mutual trust between the two countries is deepening, and cooperation in various fields is steadily developing.

He described the strategic coordination between Moscow and Beijing as "close and effective."

Wang Wenbin also pointed out that Russia and China promoted the development of a multipolar world and the democratization of international relations.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a government hour at the State Duma on Wednesday that relations between Moscow and Beijing had reached an unprecedented level of trust and were cementing the basis of the multipolar world that was forming. According to him, the foreign policy ties between Moscow and Beijing cemented the foundation of the emerging polycentric architecture and served as a balancing, stabilizing factor in global affairs.
