US sends first batch of over 60 Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine – Pentagon

The cargo left North Charleston, South Carolina last week, the US Transportation Command said

WASHINGTON, January 31. /TASS/. The US authorities have sent the first batch of more than 60 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine as part of military assistance, the US Armed Forces Transportation Command announced.

"[The US] Transportation Command is delivering the first shipment of Bradley Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine as part of the United States’ $2.85 billion military aid agreement announced earlier this year. The shipment — containing more than 60 Bradleys — left the shores of North Charleston, South Carolina, last week <…>," the report said.

Washington first announced the transfer of Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine on January 6. Fifty of these vehicles were part of a $2.85 billion aid package. On January 19, US officials announced another tranche of military aid worth $2.5 billion, which included another 59 Bradley fighting vehicles.

According to the US Defense Department, the country has allocated to Kiev military aid worth over $27.1 billion since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
