Zelensky’s finance minister sizes up damage to Ukraine’s infrastructure at $100 bln

Sergey Marchenko added that it's quite difficult to estimate the full damage since the infrastructure is attacked daily

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The damage caused to Ukraine's infrastructure since February can be estimated at $100 bln, Ukrainian Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

He added that it's quite difficult to estimate the full damage since the infrastructure is attacked daily.

Earlier, European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic said that the damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure was approaching a critical point, so the European Union is working non-stop to support the country's energy supply.

The participants of the special session of the UN General Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution on compiling an international register of damage allegedly caused by Russia to Ukraine, as well as recognizing the need to create a mechanism to compensate for losses. Ninety-four countries voted in favor of the document, yet the initiative did not get any support from 97 countries (14 voted against, while 73 abstained).
