Armenian opposition blocks subway traffic in Yerevan

The police’s special forces arrived at the site and began detaining the protesters

YEREVAN, May 23. /TASS/. Members of the Resistance opposition movement blocked subway traffic at the Molodezhnaya station in Yerevan on early Monday morning demanding the resignation of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The rally is being broadcast live by local portals.

The opposition activists are not letting the train’s doors close, they are chanting anti-government slogans and singing patriotic songs.

The police’s special forces arrived at the site and began detaining the protesters. As member of the parliament Aregnaz Manukyan who represents the Armenia opposition bloc told journalists, the police detained three activists, including one minor. Currently, subway operations have resumed.
