Russia records 12,241 new daily coronavirus cases, 42 deaths

The country’s total cases have reached 22,411,108

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russia recorded 12,241 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Saturday.

The country’s total cases have reached 22,411,108.

As many as 1,594 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, down from 1,643 the day before. Number of hospital admissions increased in 38 regions, decreased in 36 regions and in 11 regions the situation has not changed.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,214 to 3,442,789 in the past day and St. Petersburg’s cases increased by 1,302 to 1,892,578.

Coronavirus recoveries

Russia’s coronavirus recoveries rose by 14, 481 to 21,758, 912 in the past 24 hours, the crisis center reported. Recoveries increased by 2,121 to 3,245,914 in Moscow and by 1,657 to 1,844, 012 in St. Petersburg.

Coronavirus death toll

Russia recorded 42 coronavirus fatalities in the past 24 hours. The total death toll has climbed to 396,549. Moscow reported 7 deaths in the past day. The city’s death toll has reached 48,322. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 fatalities rose by 11 to 37 226.
