HAIKOU, February 23. /TASS/. Lingao County's administration (the Hainan province) delivered a second batch of humanitarian aid to China's Hubei, according to the Hainan Daily newspaper.
This batch includes 150 tonnes of pumpkin, 10 tonnes of fish and 80 tonnes of pickled and fresh pepper. According to the newspaper, the cargo was sent on nine tractors and should soon arrive in Jingzhou (Hubei Province).
According to the news outlet, the county authorities allocated a total of 600,000 yuan (about $ 85.500) for the purchase and transportation of food. Another 510,000 yuan (about $ 72.700) for these purposes were collected by teachers, teachers, rural residents of the county and a private company.
Earlier this Hainan county has already sent 55 tonnes of vegetables to Hubei. On February 4, the humanitarian aid arrived in Huanggang.
