Good health, high salary top New Year wish list in Russia, poll shows

Some materialistic wishes on the list are a camera, a laptop, and a fur coat

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. A third of Russians are going to wish good health to themselves and their families on New Year’s Eve, according to a survey on Superjob.ru published on Thursday.

Poll participants were asked to answer a question what else apart from a new good job they would like to wish when they hear the Kremlin bells ringing.

"Every 3rd out of 10 Russians (roughly 30% - TASS) are going to wish good health to themselves and their families. A total of 11% of those polled would like to earn a lot of money with 9% wishing happiness and peace around the world," the survey showed.

Other materialistic wishes on the list are a camera, a laptop, and a fur coat, while non-materialistic ones include entering university, losing weight, and good mood. Such wishes were shared by 17% of survey respondents, according to Superjob.ru. Meanwhile, another 8% of those polled said that they do not believe in miracles, which is why they do not make any wishes.

The survey, held on December 5-7, interviewed 1,000 respondents aged 18+ from all of the Russian federal districts.
