Crocus attack damage totals nearly 6 bln rubles — Russia’s Investigative Committee

ST. PETERSBURG, May 20. /TASS/. The total damage from the deadly terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow amounted to almost six billion rubles, according to the materials of Russia’s Investigative Committee.

"The total damage from the terrorist attack was estimated at almost six billion rubles," say the materials released during the speech of Investigative Committee Head Alexander Bastrykin at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

Earlier, Bastrykin noted that the case materials for the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall have grown to 500 volumes, and will soon be handed over to the prosecution.

"The criminal case has reached 500 volumes. A lot of investigative work has been done. As many as 300 site inspections and 2,500 forensic examinations were conducted. And the case will soon be forwarded to the court," Bastrykin specified. He said that Russia's Investigative Committee, the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service acted swiftly and competently in responding to the attack. The four Tajik citizens who carried out the terrorist attack were detained shortly after the crime. Bastrykin noted that in total, 19 people were arrested in connection with the brutal attack.
