Russia expects representative OIC delegations to participate in Kazan forum — MFA

According to Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, the outcome of the forum "will give an extra impetus to cooperation in the trade and economic field"

MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Russia counts on the participation of representative delegations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in the Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said at the meeting of the leadership of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group with ambassadors of the OIC member countries.

"We have sent relevant invitations to the OIC member states through diplomatic and trade missions and will be glad to welcome representative delegations of your countries in the hospitable capital of Tatarstan," he said, addressing the ambassadors at the meeting.

According to the diplomat, the outcome of the forum "will give an extra impetus <...> to cooperation in the trade and economic field." "A special meeting of the strategic vision group will be held on the sidelines of the forum. The Russian Foreign Ministry will facilitate these events," Rudenko added.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that the fifteenth forum Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum is scheduled for May 16-17, 2024 in Tatarstan.
