Ukraine shells LPR 35 times in January, 20 people were killed — mission to JCCC

Sixty-two rockets from the US-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems, 34 shells of NATO 155 mm caliber and one rocket from the Ukrainian-developed Olkha MLRS were fired at the republic's settlements

LUGANSK, February 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces shelled various settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) 35 times during January, killing 20 people and injuring 36, the LPR mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center on issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported on Wednesday.

"In January 2023, the mission reported that Ukraine 18 settlements of the republic with heavy weapons 35 times. <...> Over the abovementioned period, 56 civilians became victims of Ukrainian aggression, including two children, one of whom was killed. In total, 20 people were killed and 36 were injured over the past month," the mission said in a report on its Telegram channel.

Sixty-two rockets from the US-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems, 34 shells of NATO 155 mm caliber and one rocket from the Ukrainian-developed Olkha MLRS were fired at the republic's settlements. The Ukrainian military also used strike drones for attacks.
