Hopes for Ukraine’s victory a ‘strategic miscalculation,’ Russian envoy to the UK says

"What’s going to happen or what kind of state it will be after this winter or during this winter? This is our big concern," Andrey Kelin added

NEW YORK, October 26. /TASS/. Ukraine is effectively a failed state, and to count on its victory in the standoff with Russia would be a strategic miscalculation for the West, Russian envoy to London Andrey Kelin said.

"It is a big mistake to think that Ukraine can win this battle. It is a strategic miscalculation, totally, absolutely. Because the potential that Russia has and that Ukraine has, it is non-comparable. At the moment, Ukraine is nearly a failed state, but it is living on Western donations, on Western weapons and on Western weapons," he said in an interview for CNN published Wednesday.

"What’s going to happen or what kind of state it will be after this winter or during this winter? This is our big concern," he added.
