Process of mass inoculation against COVID-19 in Russia to be fine-tuned soon — Kremlin

Earlier, media outlets reported that regions in the Urals suspended inoculation against the coronavirus due to shortage of vaccines

MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Russian authorities react in a timely manner to temporary difficulties emerging during mass inoculation against the coronavirus. The vaccination process will be adjusted soon with glitches removed, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Wednesday.

Earlier, media outlets reported that regions in the Urals suspended inoculation against the coronavirus due to shortage of vaccines. Commenting on this, the Kremlin representative noted that due to the growing demand for the vaccine, temporary difficulties may emerge but they are related to Russia’s vast geography and the fact that the production is only building up.

The Kremlin spokesman emphasized that the authorities react in a timely fashion to such situations, the necessary measures are being implemented. "Of course, very soon this process will be fine-tuned so that the mass vaccination will go on without any glitches," he assured.

On January 18, Russia launched mass vaccination against the coronavirus. Any Russian resident can get inoculated free of charge with one of the two registered vaccines - Sputnik V or EpiVacCorona.
