Floods in Valencia claim lives of people from 12 different countries, no Russians

MADRID, November 14. /TASS/. Citizens and nationals of 12 countries lost their lives due to the floods that hit the autonomous community of Valencia in eastern Spain in late October, with no Russians yet reported among the victims, according to the kingdom's data integration center.

According to a press release from the center, published on the Supreme Court of Valencia's page on X, an analysis was conducted on the remains of 216 individuals who died in the disaster. The statement notes that nearly half of the victims were over 70 years old.

Thus, apart from Spanish nationals, 26 foreigners from 11 countries were among the victims. These include citizens of Romania (nine people), China (four), Morocco (four) and the UK (two), as well as those from Venezuela, Colombia, the Netherlands, Paraguay, Tunisia, Ukraine and Ecuador.
