ANKARA, June 22. /TASS/. The government has evacuated at least 150 people from their homes in the resort city of Marmaris in southern Turkey due to a forest fire that’s been raging for a second day on Wednesday.
"Air temperature and wind speed strongly affect the spread of the forest fire," Agriculture and Forestry Minister Vahit Kirisci said on CNN Turk television. "We have been able to control the spread of the flames so far but we are lacking aircraft. We had to evacuate 150 citizens from 52 households.".
