Number of killed in migrant boat crash off Tunisian coast hits 17, says Reuters

Reuters reported on Saturday citing a Tunisian coast guard officer that of 120 people who were on board of the boats heading to Italy, 12 died, while 98 were rescued

MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/. The number of killed in a crash of four boats with migrants off the coast of Tunisia has risen to 17 people, Reuters reported on Sunday citing local authorities.

Another five bodies were found on Sunday, according to authorities. Consequently, the total number of killed reached 17.

Reuters reported on Saturday citing a Tunisian coast guard officer that of 120 people who were on board of the boats heading to Italy, 12 died, while 98 were rescued. The rescue operation took place near the coast of the Sfax province.
