Russian stocks up as main trading session opens

Russia’s MOEX and RTS indices added 0.72% to 2,265.32 and 844.23 points, respectively, as the main trading session started on Friday, according to trading data as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT). The yuan exchange rate against the ruble added 2.3 kopecks compared to previous closing to 12.598 rubles.

By 9:30 a.m. Moscow time (6:30 a.m. GMT), the MOEX Index had extended gains to 0.9% reaching 2,269.12 points, while the RTS was up by 0.9% at 845.85 points. Meanwhile the yuan exchange rate was up by 1.7 kopecks at 12.592 rubles.
