LG Electronics partly restarts its plant in Moscow Region — newspaper

The plant was producing washing machines and refrigerators

SEOUL, March 28. /TASS/. LG Electronics has partially resumed operation of its plant in the Moscow Region, The Korea Times newspaper said.

The plant was producing washing machines and refrigerators earlier. "The move is aimed at preventing deterioration of production facilities that have been idle since the outbreak of the war," an LG official said, cited by the newspaper. The company is using "inventory materials at the plant," he added.

On March 25, LG Electronics CEO Cho Joo-wan said Tuesday that the company is "closely monitoring the situation because we may resume operation when sanctions are lifted," the newspaper said.
