PhosAgro boost fertilizer supplies to Africa in 2024

The company supports about 7% of total fertilizer imports by African nations, Mikhail Sterkin said

MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. PhosAgro scaled up deliveries of mineral fertilizers to African countries by 33% to more than 730,000 metric tons, the Russian fertilizer producer said.

Top five African nations importing agrochemical products of PhosAgro included South Africa (a 10% rise in supplies), Mozambique (by 80%), Morocco (by .5 times), Ethiopia (the first large purchase of fertilizers from the company in eight years) and Cameroon (by 60%).

"PhosAgro is the largest Russian supplier of fertilizers to African countries. According to expert estimates, our share reaches 40% from total exports of all kinds of Russian mineral fertilizers," Deputy CEO for marketing and sales of PhosAgro Mikhail Sterkin said. The company supports about 7% of total fertilizer imports by African nations, he added.
