MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. OPEC+ has not decided whether to push back the deadline on restarting increases in oil output, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
"We recently held a meeting of the ministerial monitoring committee, during which we did not make any decisions on this matter. We are keeping the date (for the oil production increase in April - TASS) the same. There have been no other discussions so far," he said commenting on a Bloomberg article about OPEC+ potentially returning to increased production at a later date.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported citing sources that OPEC+ is considering pushing back a series of monthly supply increases due to begin in April despite calls from US President Donald Trump to lower prices. As one of the sources noted, global oil markets remain too fragile to resume production now. Another source told the agency that no decision has been made yet and the group is split on how to proceed. A decision may be finalized in coming weeks, the agency reported.
