UAC presents statistics on flight time of SSJ-100 aircraft

A total of 159 SSJ-100 aircraft of various modifications are in operation

MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. The flight time of the SSJ-100 aircraft fleet since the beginning of operation has exceeded 1.745 million flight hours, and the total number of flights performed by aircraft has exceeded 977,000, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec state corporation) said in a statement.

A total of 159 SSJ-100 aircraft of various modifications are in operation. The aircraft is used by seven Russian airlines. For four airlines, the average daily flight time per aircraft exceeded eight hours in the third quarter of 2024

"Despite the complete halt in cooperation with Western manufacturers, our serviceability indicators did not go down after 2022, and the regularity of SSJ-100 flights is still around 97-98%. Meanwhile, the intensity of fleet operation is growing. In 2022-2023 and even for the first 9 months of 2024, it exceeds pre-pandemic indicators," Dmitry Borisenko, Deputy General Director of PJSC Yakovlev (the aircraft developer, part of UAC) for support of civil aviation customers, said at the annual conference of SSJ-100 operators. His words are quoted in the UAC statement.

At the conference the participants also discussed the interim results of work on localizing the repair of foreign components of the SSJ-100 by Russian companies. In February 2022, 59 components of the aircraft were serviced in Russia, and by November 2024, servicing of 311 components had already been mastered. According to UAC, the capacity of enterprises for the maintenance of components is also growing. The number of repaired products for a number of product items in 2024 increased threefold compared to 2023.

"The required legislative framework has also been formed and design support for the operation of foreign components by specialized domestic developers of aviation equipment has been established - the number of products provided with design support has changed from zero in February 2022 to 214 components in November 2024," the UAC notes.
