BAKU, November 13. /TASS/. The Russian Energy Ministry prepared and presented to the government the proposal of lifting the ban on gasoline exports, Minister Sergey Tsivilyov told reporters.
"The Energy Ministry prepared its proposals [to lift the gasoline export ban - TASS] and has already submitted them to the government fo review. We will lift export restrictions now because everything is stable with prices. The market situation is stable, so restrictions can be lifted - they were introduced to stabilize prices in the domestic market," he said.
Russia extended the export ban on gasoline on September 1 until the end of 2024. The similar prohibition was in place from March 1 to August 31 but exports were permitted from the end of May until July because of domestic market saturation.
