CPC plans to start replacing single point mooring devices in 2026

CPC is at the stage of signing a contract for supply of two complete SPMs by 2026, their replacement and installation, Nikolay Gorban noted

ASTANA, January 16. /TASS/. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) plans to begin the replacement of two single point moorings (SPMs) at the marine terminal near Novorossiysk in 2026, CEO Nikolay Gorban said at a press conference.

"In 2026, CPC plans to start the replacement of two single point moorings that are in service since 2001," the senior executive said.

CPC is at the stage of signing a contract for supply of two complete SPMs by 2026, their replacement and installation, Gorban noted.

The company is also upgrading and improving its pipeline system. About 400 km of the linepipe segment of the main oil pipeline are planned for replacement in several coming years, and CPC initiated the replacement of first 25 km of its line pipe in December 2023.
