MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. International Launch Services (ILS) continues to operate in the US, including through a number of agreements on settlement of launch services, the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center's CEO Alexey Varochko said in an interview with TASS.

ILS is a subsidiary of the Khrunichev Space Center, which is art of the state corporation Roscosmos.

"Yes, the ILS company is operating. The share of the State Space Research and Production Center in it is 83%, the remaining 17% belongs to the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia," Varochko said.

According to the general director of the enterprise, the level of the company's costs has been reduced to the most optimal level so that it can work without the receipt of new financial resources.

"The company is currently working on a number of agreements with our existing customers to settle launch services on Proton-M and Angara launch vehicles," he explained.

The ILS joint venture was established in 1995 by the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center and the American corporation Lockheed Martin. In 2006, Lockheed Martin withdrew from the partnership by selling a majority stake to a German entrepreneur. In May 2008, the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center bought out this share, and since then ILS has been considered its subsidiary. The company is based in the suburbs of Washington - Reston (Virginia).
