RIO DE JANEIRO, October 29. /TASS/. A subsidiary of Russia’s Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation has won a tender to provide Brazil with fuel for the production of fuel elements for nuclear power plants.
According to documents of the state company Industrias Nucleares do Brasil, a German branch of the Rosatom subsidiary will provide 330 tons of uranium hexafluoride to Brazil and will also provide enrichment services of over one mln SWU (separative work unit, a standard measure of the effort required to separate isotopes of uranium U235 and U238 during the enrichment process).
The total value of the tenders exceeds $140 mln.
