WASHINGTON, November 6. /TASS/. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris won the state of Virginia in the 2024 election, the Associated Press reported.

With 83% of the vote counted, the US vice president had 51.2%, while Republican Donald Trump scored 47.2%. Thirteen Electoral College votes out of 270 needed to win in the state which has sided with the Democratic nominee since 2008 will decide the vote.

So far, the former US president leads with 232 electoral votes to Harris who holds 211, Fox News television said.
