TEL AVIV, January 14. /TASS/. About 120,000 people took to the streets in Tel Aviv on Saturday with a call for freeing all the hostages captured by Palestinian militants on October 7 and held in the Gaza Strip, The Times of Israel newspaper said.
Relatives of hostages gathered in the square near the defense ministry’s complex in Tel Aviv. Events dedicated to 100 days from the Hamas attack against Israel and the capture of hostages started from that rally. They will be held during 24 hours all over Israel, the news outlet said.
A protest meeting demanding new elections in Israel was also held in parallel in downtown Tel Aviv. Several thousand people also staged a protest rally calling for resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet and the soonest possible early election in Haifa, the newspaper reported.
