UNITED NATIONS, March 6. /TASS/. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres is focused on ensuring that all delegations to the United Nations headquarters in New York are granted US visas, UN Secretary General’s Spokesman Stephane Dujarric told a briefing on Monday.

"The Secretary General, his legal counsel has been very, very much focused on ensuring that the obligations (of the host country - TASS) are met, and that all delegations that have business in front of the United Nations here in New York are granted the visas as they should be," he said when asked by TASS to comment the situation with Russian diplomats.

Russia’s representative Irina Tyazhlova said earlier that the US side had denied entry visas to several Russian delegates to the session of UN open-ended working group on cybersecurity. She also said that a number of Russian NGO’s accredited at the UN working group also faced visa problems. The Russian side called on the UN Secretariat to take measures to address the problem of the US visa denial to Russian delegates.
