Russia’s COVID-19 case tally grows by 14,721 — crisis center

Death toll increased by 37

MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 14,721 over the past day to 22,218,663, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Thursday.

As many as 1 632 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day. The number of hospitalized patients declined in 41 regions, while in 34 other regions the figure increased. A day earlier, 1,800 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,947 over the past day against 3,093 a day earlier, reaching 3,409,291, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,407 over the past day against 1,383 a day earlier, reaching 1,872,487.

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 3,480 over the past day, reaching 17,794,561, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll increased by 37 over the past day and reached 395 938, the crisis center announced. A day earlier 34 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
