Department of State spokesman says US aid to Ukraine to continue

However, Ned Price did not confirm media reports that Russia demanded to stop US support for Ukraine in a diplomatic note to Washinton

NEW YORK, April 16. /TASS/. The United States is not planning to end its military assistance to Ukraine, US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price told CNN, commenting on media reports that Russia requested the US to end its support.

"The Russians have said some things privately, they have said some things publicly; nothing will dissuade us from the strategy that we've embarked on," Price said.

However, he did not confirm media reports that Russia demanded to stop US support for Ukraine in a diplomatic note to Washinton. Russia has not confirmed those reports officially as well.

"If the allegation from the Kremlin is that the US and our partners around the world are providing billions of dollars worth of security assistance to our Ukrainian partners, precisely what our Ukrainian partners have requested, and that our Ukrainian partners are using that very security assistance to extraordinary effects <…> well, then we're guilty as charged," the spokesperson said.
