TEL AVIV, April 15. /TASS/. Israel’s police reported on Friday that order has been restored on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City, where disturbances and clashes between Palestinians and the police broke out earlier, according to the press service of the agency.

"For the past two hours, everything is under control, it’s quiet and safe on the Temple Mount, worshipers calmly proceed to prayer. We call on everyone to observe law and order," the police said.

According to Israel’s Kan radio station, over 300 participants of the disturbances were detained during clashes on the Temple Mount following the Friday prayer. The radio station noted that the police used sting grenades and other riot control weapons.
