NOVO-OGARYOVO, January 21. /TASS/. Russia-China ties are self-sufficient and depend neither on domestic factors nor on global developments, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video call with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

"We build our ties on the basis of friendship, mutual trust, support, equality and mutual benefit. These ties are self-sufficient and don’t depend on domestic factors or the current global developments," Putin pointed out.

"Their comprehensive strengthening is fully consistent with the goals of ensuring the integrated development of Russia and China and improving the welfare of the two countries’ people," he added.
