Russian top security official, Abu Dhabi crown prince discuss cooperation

ABU DHABI, January 31. /TASS/. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan has received Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, the Russian official’s spokesman Yevgeny Anoshin told reporters.

"There was a discussion of various aspects of Russia-UAE relations in the security area, as well as of cooperation on international platforms," he said. The parties agreed that Russia and the United Arab Emirates had been consistently implementing the decisions made in Moscow in June 2018. They also highlighted the importance of the declaration on strategic partnership that the two countries had signed.

The Russian Security Council secretary and the Abu Dhabi crown prince also summed up bilateral security consultations, which had taken place earlier in the day.
