MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Russian airlines transported 14.8 mln passengers in January-February of the current year, marking a 1.6% decrease compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
However, in comparison with January-February 2023, this figure increased by 7%.
Passenger traffic on international routes grew by 3% to 3.8 mln people, while domestic traffic declined by 3.1% to 10.9 mln.
Passenger turnover for the reporting period saw a marginal increase of 0.1%, reaching 39.4 bln passenger-kilometers.
The top five airlines by passenger volume included Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 Airlines, Rossiya, and Ural Airlines. These carriers collectively accounted for 71% of all passenger transportation.
