The Ambassador of Bahrain to Russia Ahmed Al Saati highlighted the continued development of Bahrain-Russia relations in the cultural and humanitarian spheres

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. The Kingdom of Bahrain has been granted the status of guest country for the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), scheduled to take place on June 18-21, according to a statement by Roscongress.

"In recent years, Russia and Bahrain have significantly strengthened their economic cooperation, developing partnerships in key areas such as energy, high technology, logistics, and tourism. Both countries are actively working to expand trade and economic collaboration, launching joint projects across various sectors," Adviser to the Russian president and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov was quoted in the statement.

According to him, "SPIEF serves as a crucial platform for dialogue between governments, businesses, and experts. In recent years, Gulf countries have increasingly used the Forum to establish mutually beneficial partnerships, and Bahrain is a prime example of this engagement. The Kingdom’s status as the guest country at SPIEF 2025 presents new opportunities to deepen economic ties, strengthen strategic partnerships, and elevate cooperation to a new level."

Echoing these sentiments, the Ambassador of Bahrain to Russia Ahmed Al Saati highlighted the continued development of Bahrain-Russia relations in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

"Bahrain has chosen the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum as a key platform to showcase our business, culture, and tourism to the Russian audience. We anticipate the participation of high-profile official delegations and leading Bahraini companies, and we are confident in the successful expansion of our presence in Russia while continuing to strengthen cooperation at all levels," the ambassador said.
