Bank of Russia includes Tinkoff to DFA operators register

The bank plans to hold a series of experiments with digital financial assets

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia included Tinkoff Bank into the register of operators of information systems where digital financial assets (DFA) are issued, the Central Bank said on its website.

"The Bank of Russia made the decision on March 28, 2024 to endorse rules of information system of Tinkoff Bank on digital financial assets issue and inclusion of Tinkoff Bank into the register of operators of information systems where digital financial assets are issued," the regulator informed.

The bank plans to hold a series of experiments with DFA, a spokesperson of Tinkoff Bank told TASS.

"We have accumulated rich experience in creating simple and clear technology products used by millions of people every day. Based on this experience, we plan to stage a number of experiments with DFA and use our own groundwork to launch new products," the spokesperson noted.
