NEW DELHI, March 9. /TASS/. Russian producers of agricultural goods are preparing to begin mass supplies of pork to India, taking into account the country’s legislation requirements, Head of the export sales department of the Russian agro-industrial holding Agroeco Pavel Yudin said in an interview with TASS.
"Representatives of Agroeco held meetings with four key importers of pork, where they reached an agreement on cooperation. Our supplies will take into account consumer preferences and the requirements of Indian import legislation," Yudin said.
He noted that the pork export market in India is actively developing. "Agroeco plans to begin supplying at least 300 tons per month in the near future," Yudin said.
According to him, by the end of 2023, the holding exported more than 15,000 tons of goods, including live animals and 7,000 tons of processed pork. In 2023, the holding started deliveries to Belarus and trial deliveries to Georgia, this year it plans to add new directions - Vietnam, Georgia, Hong Kong.
