MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. One person died and another 14 were injured during an explosion at the Zasyadko Mine in eastern Ukraine’s city Donetsk on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the emergencies ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic said.
"According to preliminary data, 73 miners have been blocked underground," spokesperson Yuliana Bedilo said, adding that this might have been "the explosion of a steam-and-gas mixture."
The emergencies ministry said that the rescue operation is underway. The management staff at the mine has so far failed to confirm the accident.
