BERLIN, October 8. /TASS/. Civilians in Ukrainian frontline towns assist members of the Russian Army, complicating combat for Ukrainian troops, Der Tagesspiegel reported.

"Pro-Russian civilians create a serious problem [for Ukrainian troops] in frontline villages," the German newspaper quoted Neil Hauer, a Canadian reporter, as saying.

The newspaper also reports locals hosting Russian soldiers in their homes.
