MOSCOW, May 20. /TASS/. Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov expressed his readiness to testify under oath that the statement he made about foreign meddling in the presidential election in Romania is true.
"I'm ready to come and testify if it helps Romanian democracy," he wrote on the X social network, sharing a post by Romanian opposition candidate George Simion.
Simion, who lost in the second round of the Romanian presidential election to pro-European independent candidate Nicusor Dan, demands in his post to annul the results of the vote due to "external interferences by state and non-state actors."
Besides, he also accused France of interfering in the voting.
According to the final election results, published by Romania’s election authority earlier in the day, Dan got 6,168,642 votes in the runoff, while Simion got 5,339,053.
