BEIRUT, March 22. /TASS/. The leadership of the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah has stated that its forces were not involved in the missile attacks on Israeli territory. According to the LBCI television channel, Hezbollah conveyed this information to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
"Hezbollah denies any connection to the incident and reaffirms its commitment to the ceasefire," the statement said
Al Hadath TV channel reported earlier that at least four people have lost their lives as a result of airstrikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force on the town of Touline in southern Lebanon. According to the channel’s information, the air raid destroyed a residential building, and there are civilian casualties among the wounded.
The Israeli Defense Forces have carried out strikes on dozens of sites belonging to the armed formations of the Shiite organization Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to the statement from IDF, the targets included multiple rocket launch systems as well as a command center that had been coordinating Hezbollah’s operations in southern Lebanon.
The military emphasized that the strikes were conducted in response to the morning bombardment of northern Israel, for which the Israeli side has placed responsibility on the Lebanese government.
