BANGKOK, March 25. /TASS/. Thailand strongly condemns the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow and expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the injured, the country’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Thailand is profoundly shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific terrorist attack in the Moscow region on March 22, 2024 that claimed more than a hundred of lives and several more injured. Thailand strongly and unequivocally condemns this brutal and heinous attack and all such terrorist attacks on innocent civilians. Thailand expresses its sincere condolences to all the victims and their families for their loss. The thoughts and prayers of the Thai people are with the Russian people at this tragic and difficult time," the statement said.
On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the death toll is 137, but may rise. According to the Moscow Region Health Ministry, 182 people were injured. Eleven suspects involved in the terrorist attack have been apprehended, including four hitmen who were trying to make off heading towards the Ukrainian border. President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address that, according to preliminary information, the Ukrainian side had prepared "a gap" in the border for the terrorists to cross it.
