Hamas gives Egypt list of 10 hostages to be released first — WSJ

According to the newspaper, the delay with submitting the full list of the first group of hostages triggered the postponement of a deal between Hamas and Israel

NEW YORK, November 23. /TASS/. The radical Palestinian movement Hamas has submitted to Egypt the list of 10 hostages who are slated to be released first, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the newspaper, the delay with submitting the full list of the first group of hostages triggered the postponement of a deal between Hamas and Israel.

On November 22, Hamas reported reaching an agreement with Israel, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, on a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip that would last four days. The movement confirmed that the agreements envisage the release of 50 women, children and teenagers held in the enclave in exchange for the release of 150 women, children and teenagers from Israeli prisons.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry noted that the ceasefire will be declared within 24 hours. That said, head of Israel's National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, said that the process of releasing part of the hostages held in the Gaza Strip will not begin before November 24.
