LONDON, February 19. /TASS/. Ukraine will receive less that a fourth of the West-promised tanks by early April, Britain’s Sunday Times said on Sunday.
It recalled that Kiev expects to receive up to 320 Western tanks by not more than 50 will reach the frontline by April and the Western nations fear that it would not be enough to change the situation on the ground.
Thus, according to the Sunday Times, the United Kingdom will send only four Challenger 2 tanks in March and three Leopard 2 tanks will be sent from Portugal. Meanwhile, Poland plans to send 14 Leopard 2 tanks in the near future. However, a Leopard battalion from Germany is only half ready. Tank supplies are also expected from Norway and Finland.
