Armenian Defense Ministry reports shelling of its border positions from Azerbaijan

According to the ministry, "the enemy fire was subdued"

YEREVAN, October 3. /TASS/. Azerbaijani troops have shelled Armenia’s border positions using mortars and small arms, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.

"At around 21:30 (20:30 Moscow time - TASS), units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire at Armenian military positions in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, using mortars and large-caliber firearms," the ministry said in a statement.

"The enemy fire was subdued," it said, adding that no casualties on the Armenian side were reported.
