VIENNA, March 23. /TASS/. Russia’s Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna has submitted a Note Verbale to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) informing that Russian nuclear specialists are forcibly held at the Rovenskaya nuclear power plant in Ukraine.
"On 23 February a shipment of fresh nuclear fuel was delivered to Rovenskaya NPP in accordance with the supply schedule and contractual obligations," the Note Verbale said.
"Since then the Russian specialist are forcefully detained on the site of Rovenskaya NPP in the wagon where the shipment was previously held," it added.
According to the document, four specialists who accompanied the shipment are being held.
The Russian Permanent Mission demanded that "the Ukrainian authorities immediately let free the Russian nuclear specialists who performed their professional duty and ensure their safe return to Russia".
